Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)

           
            Awareness of the benefits of Coenzyme QoQ10 can improve gingival health.  According to web MD, " Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a nutrient that occurs naturally in the body." It is also found in many of the foods we eat.[1]  CoenzymeQoQ10 can be beneficial in lowering blood pressure, slowing down the progression of Alzheimer's disease, assist in treating migraine headaches, in controlling cholesterol and healing gingival inflammation.
            What is Coenzyme QoQ10?  Coenzyme QoQ10 is an enzyme that works as an antioxidant. To counteract the age-related depletion of CoQ10, it’s recommended to take 100–200 mg per day (24).  Doses of 100–300 mg of CoQ10 per day appear to improve diabetes symptoms (28).  CoQ10 doses of 100–600 mg have been shown to help boost fertility (34)."
